Those familiar with the aquatic world know that Under Gravel Filters (UGFs) have stood the test of time. This air-driven filter utilizes an Air Pump (not included) to cycle crystal-clear water throughout your aquarium, while maintaining a crisp and neat appearance inside. With fewer "moving parts," the Clear-Free Premium Under Gravel Filter offers simplified and easy maintenance.
Suitable for most 40 – 55 gallon aquariums, this filter is safe for both Freshwater and Saltwater setups. It provides Biological, Chemical, and Physical Filtration. As air is pushed through the Air Stones and rises through the Lift Tubes, water is gently suctioned through the gravel and filter plates, allowing both air and water to pass through the Filt-a-Carb Activated Carbon Cartridges. Continued water flow allows anaerobic bacteria to collect and colonize within the gravel and filter plates.
Additionally, the Clear-Free Premium Under Gravel Filter aerates your tank. Since it is air-driven through the use of Air Stones and an Air Pump (not included), it filters and aerates your aquarium simultaneously, serving as both a filter and a bubbler in one system.
