The scale is clearly marked in both Celsius and Fahrenheit, allowing you to easily see the temperature adjustments as you turn the control knob. To increase the temperature, rotate the knob counter-clockwise, and to decrease it, rotate the knob clockwise. Alternatively, you can follow the + and - symbols located near the control knob.

The Cascade Heat Aquarium Heater features an orange pilot light that indicates the heating cycle status. This means that the light will turn on and off automatically as the thermostat cycles the heating element, letting you know when the heater is in operation.
